Entrepreneur-in-Residence, AI Native Ventures; LG NOVA

Entrepreneur-in-Residence, AI Vertical (LG NOVA) – Santa Clara, CA (hybrid).

Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead the incubation of a new AI venture within LG NOVA in under explored or high-friction domains outside Health and Cleantech. This is a founder-track role focused on developing, validating, and launching a scalable business, culminating in a spin-out backed by LG’s internal venture fund.

• Develop and pitch ventures through LG NOVA’s gated approval process and drive a venture from ideation to spin-out.
• Generate venture ideas by identifying emerging AI technologies, trends, and gaps in the market (B2B, B2C, B2B2C).
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver proof-of-concepts, including rapid prototyping and validating hypotheses.
• Build business models, product/service concepts, and go-to-market strategies.
• Create and manage financial forecasts and operational roadmaps.
• Secure early pilot partnerships and customer traction.
• Negotiate venture funding and spin-out terms with LG’s internal venture capital team.
• Assemble a world-class founding team.

• 10+ years in startups, corporate innovation, or venture studios, with a proven ability to build and scale businesses.
• 7+ years in digital product management, strategy, or development.
• Technical expertise with AI tools, cloud platforms, and software/hardware integration.
• Experience raising capital and working with VCs or corporate venture arms.
• Track record of navigating ambiguity and operating with urgency in white-space environments.
• Exceptional communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus).
• Experience with AI-first product development and business model design.
• Understanding of agile venture building and lean experimentation frameworks.

• Deep network across AI stakeholders and potential early customers.
• Previous founder or start-up executive experience is preferred.

  This is a contract position, not a direct full-time role with LG.

  Santa Clara, CA office (in-office Tue/Wed/Thu; WFH Mon/Fri).
• Compensation: salary range dependent on experience;
  Recruiting Range: $185,000–$270,000 USD.
