We are seeking an experienced ETL Test Engineer to join our Data Testing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness across complex data ecosystems. This role focuses on validating data movement, transformation, and reconciliation between source systems and target destinations such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Reporting Platforms. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, ETL developers, and business analysts to ensure that all data flows meet defined quality standards and business requirements.

• Design, develop, and execute ETL test strategies and test cases for validating data pipelines and transformations.
• Perform data reconciliation testing to ensure data completeness and consistency across multiple systems.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from source to target systems.
• Identify and analyze data discrepancies and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and automated validation queries for large data sets.
• Participate in test planning, defect triage, and root cause analysis discussions.
• Ensure testing covers data quality dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting automation or process optimization in data testing workflows.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint planning and testing deliverables.

• Strong hands‑on experience in Data Reconciliation Testing – validating data movement between source and target systems.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and data validation techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL (complex joins, aggregations, subqueries, and performance tuning).
• Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Reporting/BI environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in defect management and working with tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar.

• Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Data Stage, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of data testing automation frameworks or scripting (Python, PySpark, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data processing and validation.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hive, Spark, Snowflake, etc.).
• Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
