Overview
This position is essential for overseeing and analyzing financial records to ensure that our accounting practices comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping
:
Oversee the maintenance and organization of financial records, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), prepaid expenses, and fixed assets. Ensure all entries in ledgers and journals are accurate and up-to-date. - Account Reconciliation
:
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts to maintain consistency and accuracy across all financial records. - Audit Preparation
:
Assist in preparing for financial audits by providing necessary documentation and clear explanations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. - Compliance Assurance
:
Ensure all financial operations adhere to GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments. - Cross-functional collaboration
:
Work closely with other departments to gather financial information, address inquiries, and support company-wide financial initiatives. - Additional Duties
:
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance team and organizational objectives.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- The Senior Accountant plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic financial decisions within the organization.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Experience:
A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS standards.
