The Sr. Manager Field Service, Robotics Solutions Engineering leads and mentors the Robotics Solutions Engineer (RSE) team. They are accountable for conducting effective performance management. Leads team strategy, processes, and assignments for the RSE Team and supports organizational objectives and business service goals. Defines project terms to meet objectives and goals of the service area of complex medical equipment in the field.

Directs workflow for strategic plans and serves as a primary point of contact for the team as the system install base grows within North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for technical and commercial aspects of the Robotics Solutions Engineering team.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the team into a culture of service to drive business results.
  • Strategic plan for team US expansion and growth.
  • Support commercial activities and sales of service offerings when required.
  • Lead a team responsible for verification, testing, configuration management, and root‑cause analysis of robotic systems including operating the system in clinical settings of OTTAVA fleet.
  • Development and coaching of the team in skills necessary to provide excellent service and support to healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute specific tasks including documentation and metrics for the team.
  • Participate in process improvement discussions to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage in a continuous effort of learning and training to expand the knowledge of RSE on our robotics systems.
  • Safely work in a manufacturing environment and ability to follow all safety and hazard requirements.
  • Provide reports and updates to senior management on status and strategic goals.
  • Interface with Systems Engineering, Product Support Engineers, Quality, and other cross functional teams to gain alignment and knowledge to continuously improve our system Uptime and Mean‑Time‑To‑Repair (MTTR).

Will be required to stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods of time.

Will be required to utilize electro‑mechanical tools.

Will be required to lift up to 45 lbs.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field.
  • Master highly desired.
Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • 8+ years of field service leadership in medical device capital equipment.
  • Robotic system experience is highly desired.
  • Proven history of successfully building, growing, and managing a team.
  • Track record of leading the growing the business of service.
  • Demonstrate industry standard knowledge, skills, behavior, and history of success in medical capital equipment.
  • Fundamental understanding across software, controls, robotics, mechanical, and electrical engineering, with ability to quickly come up to speed in new technical areas.
