PACE is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic BCBA - School Behavior Analyst to provide behavioral support and program development for K‑12 School located at our Santa Clara campus. As a School BCBA, you will oversee and train staff on behavioral programs for students on the Autism Spectrum. You may also assist our on‑site after school ABA program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide behavior consultation and services to children in the PACE School and after school services
  • Develop training for Aides, Teachers and other staff and present monthly training sessions.
  • Develop and review functional and motivational behavior assessments, behavioral plans and interventions.
  • Conduct on‑site and direct observation of student's behavior and track progress, presenting suitable data assessment for the condition.
  • Model the skillful usage of basic behavioral procedures including: behavior specific praise, effective prompting, and behavior reduction procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education – Must possess an MA/MS degree in the field of Behavior Analysis or relevant field.
  • Certifications – Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in good standing with the BACB.
  • Experience – Should have at least 2 years experience working with the special needs population.
Required Skills
  • Communication Skills - The position requires communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to be playful, creative, and enthusiastic. Strong writing skills are required to document treatment sessions. The candidate must actively participate in meetings with superiors, peers, and other employees. Collaboration and teamwork are critical skills.
  • Management and Organizational Skills – This position requires strong organizational skills with the ability to develop/implement written treatment directions and collect and interpret numeric data. Candidate must possess the skills to effectively train a team of employees.
  • Technical Skills - Proficiency in understanding behavior (ABA) literature for program development and implementation is required. Should possess the clinical skills to effectively work with Teachers, Therapists and classroom support staff.
  • Driver – The employee must possess a valid California driver’s license with a good driving record, proof of insurance and a vehicle for short trips between campuses.
Physical Requirements
  • Pushing and Pulling, Lifting – Must be able to lift and or push at least 35lbs.
  • Twisting and Turning – Due to the high activity of the program this position requires the individual to be able to physically bend, squat, reach over shoulders, reach over head, reach outward, kneel, sit, walk, run on normal, slippery, or uneven surfaces and stand.
  • Student Behaviors – Must be able to follow all Safety Care Procedures when needed (Training provided).
  • Office Work – This position requires the following office work:
    Keyboard, Mouse, Repetitive Motion of Hands.
