Behavioral Research Analyst

Overview

We’re seeking a Behavioral Research Analyst to help translate complex scholarship into compelling, accessible media for a growing psycho educational media organization with over 300,000+ annual viewers. This volunteer role sits at the intersection of research, psychology, film, and storytelling - perfect for someone who loves asking big questions and shaping how ideas reach the public.

• Conduct & Synthesize Research - Review approximately 15-25 academic sources per episode.
  
  - Clearly answer each episode's primary research question.
• Co-Write & Shape Scripts - Collaborate with the CEO to co-write episode scripts.
  
  - Translate academic insight into clear, engaging narrative language.
• Contribute to Editorial Direction - Propose new episode ideas and research angles.
  
  - Suggest topics that resonate with and expand our existing audience.
• Collaborate Across Teams - Work closely with visual, marketing, and production collaborators.
  
  - Contribute to a thoughtful, supportive, creative process.

• An undergraduate college student.
• Experience conducting literature reviews (preferred).
• Background or strong interest in the social sciences.
• Curiosity about nonprofit work and public scholarship.
• A genuine passion for media and storytelling.
• Based in the US.

• Build research experience with a team mentored by PhDs.
• Network with experts from Stanford, Harvard, and the UC system.
• Develop an extended portfolio spanning research, media, and storytelling.
• Gain insights into educational and mental health media production.
• Flexible & remote-friendly (12-15 hours per month).
