Ramadan Childcare Program ; Ages 3-5

Scope of Position

MCA is a non‑profit religious organization servicing the needs of the Muslim community; during Ramdan, MCA runs an evening childcare program that serves the needs of 3-5 year olds who are attending the mosque with their parents for taraweeh prayers. The Ramadan Childcare Program staff is responsible for implementing the curriculum provided for the program, supervising the children enrolled in the program during Ramadan evenings, and conducting the activities that are designed to engage and improve the faith of our youngest mosque attendees.

• Provide a welcoming environment to young children and parents attending the program by connecting with the attendees, communicating our community culture, and assessing ongoing needs.
• Make logistical preparations including setting up the babysitting room, registration table, organizing materials for crafts for th e program etc.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and engagement each night.
• Track expenses as well as maintain personal timesheets
• Inform Ramadan Childcare Program Lead about any issues that arise in the Babysitting Room.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the MCA Babysitting Room.
• Take proactive measures to address any potential hazards or safety concerns.
• Build an environment that helps to strengthen and promote social and emotional growth for young children in accordance with Islamic teachings.

• Must be available to work on site at MCA every evening (approx 8:00 – 10:00 pm) in Ramadan 2025
• Preferred 3+ years of experience in childcare
• Good interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills as well as active listening and facilitation skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience including working with a team, addressing situations, and facilitating clear and effective communication.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification are highly preferred.

Pay will be hourly ($22-23) per hour, commensurate with experience.
