VP Marketing and Business Development at xMEMS Labs, Inc.

Founded in January 2018, xMEMS Labs is the “X” factor in MEMS with the world’s most innovative piezo

MEMS platform. It invented the world’s first solid‑state, monolithic MEMS speakers that combine the scalability of semiconductor manufacturing with revolutionary audio performance, enabling new audio experiences in smart glasses, wireless earbuds, headphones, and wearables. The xMEMS piezo

MEMS platform has also been extended to produce the world’s first μCooling fan on a chip delivering active thermal management in smartphones, SSDs, smart glasses, and data center systems like optical transceivers.

This position will be in our HQ office in Santa Clara, CA.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, motivated, and proven business development professional with a track record of success driving new products to revenue, creating partnerships that expand market reach and competitive moats, and devising marketing initiatives and strategies that help the company achieve yearly revenue and growth targets. The role will report to the VP of Marketing & Business Development.

Responsibilities

Operating in a start‑up, high‑growth, high‑intensity environment, this will include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy and product requirements by aligning with customer roadmaps and industry requirements in collaboration with Product Marketing and Engineering teams.
  • Prioritize and drive customer engagement strategies
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, program management, and systems engineering teams to overcome technical and business hurdles to secure customer design wins.
  • Engage with ecosystem partners to ensure products align with market trends and windows.
  • Develop technical marketing and sales collateral.
  • Represent and promote products at industry events, speaking engagements, and through social media platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • 3 to 5 years of customer‑facing business development experience
  • Track record of success in product definition, launch, and sustained market leadership in consumer semiconductors
  • Ability to work independently and achieve goals in a fast‑moving start‑up environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% to achieve business development objectives
