Applied Materials has an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, proactive new college graduate to provide day‑to‑day administrative and coordination support across multiple legal teams. You’ll manage complex calendars, help submit purchase orders, create communication and marketing‑style content, assist in patent application processes, and coordinate events and trainings for the broader legal organization. This role is ideal for someone with minimal prior experience who is eager to learn, is detail‑oriented, and enjoys helping diverse teams operate smoothly.

This role will join our world class Legal & Compliance Organization (LCO), working with our Patent legal team, along with our Privacy, IP Protection, Legal Ops, and Data Governance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Calendar & Coordination (multi‑team)

  • Own complex calendars across multiple teams; schedule meetings, resolve conflicts, and prepare agendas and materials.
  • Track follow‑ups, action items, and deadlines; keep stakeholders aligned.

Patent Application Process Support

  • Coordinate signatures and documentation, organize invention disclosures, and assist with filing logistics in partnership with Patent/IP Operations; track milestones and update status.

Procurement & POs

  • Prepare and submit purchase orders, vendor requests, and receipts; ensure accuracy of line items, approvals, and delivery confirmations in the company’s procurement system.

Content Creation & Communications

  • Draft concise emails, updates, and internal posts; develop lightweight marketing‑style materials (flyers, one‑pagers) and training content (slides/handouts) to support program roll‑outs and events.
  • Maintain shared repositories (SharePoint/Teams) and keep templates current.

Event & Training Planning

  • Work alongside our executive assistant team to plan logistics for legal‑wide events (rooms, invites, AV, catering), manage RSVPs, and support prize/recognition workflows; capture feedback and improve post‑event processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimal experience in administrative tasks.
  • Strong organization and time management; comfort juggling multiple calendars and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to tailor tone for executives and broader audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and willingness to learn procurement and patent tools.
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
  • Minimal experience in basic content writing, or student/club marketing or training materials (class projects are welcome).
