Overview
Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance Team. The Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the billing and collections of the company's customers, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare and send invoices to customers according to contract terms and billing schedules.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and overdue accounts.
- Apply payments received from customers to the appropriate invoices and accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and verify the accuracy of balances and transactions.
- Maintain customer records and update contact information, payment terms, and billing preferences.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve any billing and collection issues or disputes.
- Generate and analyze reports on accounts receivable status and performance.
- Assist with month-end closing and audit procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
- 4+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.
- Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent.
- Viewpoint Software experience is a plus.
- Notary certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Team player who can work independently and handle a variety of responsibilities.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple assignments.
- Experience in the construction industry or related field is a plus.
- Ability to work overtime on an as-needed basis.
- General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, and bending.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
