Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will have good GAAP, at least five years of accounting experience, and be able to thrive supporting with different responsibilities on the accounting team.

• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month‑end and year‑end close.
• Compile, review, and assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy of employee records, time reporting, deductions, and benefits.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including coding, invoice processing, and donation or grant-related entries.
• Assist with audit preparation, grant reporting, and compliance documentation as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience working in the non‑profit sector is highly beneficial.
• Hands‑on experience preparing or supporting financial statements and performing general ledger reconciliations.
• Payroll processing experience, including knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency with Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and ability to handle confidential information.
