Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Clara, California. In this role, you will handle key vendor accounts and ensure accurate financial operations through effective communication and collaboration. This position is ideal for someone skilled in managing invoices, reconciliations, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies.

- Review vendor statements regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Coordinate with buyers and vendors to address issues related to payments and reconciliations.

- Prepare accruals by compiling and analyzing data using Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables.

- Manage vendor accounts related to inventory and ensure timely payments.

- Conduct weekly reviews of critical vendor statements to maintain accurate financial records.

- Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs as part of payment processes.

- Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors to support smooth operations.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all accounts payable activities.

- Assist in improving accounts payable processes and workflows. Requirements - Proven experience in Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and account coding.

- Proficiency in Excel, including v-lookups and pivot table functions.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in vendor statements.

- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with buyers and vendors.

- Knowledge of best practices in accounts payable processes.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
