• Build a deep understanding of our Affordable Housing segment and take full ownership of the domain.
• Develop scalable, robust web‑based solutions to solve complex business problems using existing technology, refactoring, or new integrations.
• Mentor and guide other software engineers.
• Implement new features and optimize existing ones to maximize performance.
• Collaborate closely with QA, product owners, designers, and engineers; participate in a high‑performing, empowered team.
• Work in an agile fashion, delivering incremental deliverables and limiting work in progress.
• Research, share, and recommend new technologies and trends.
• Maintain a high bar of engineering excellence through code reviews, best practices, and healthy debate.
• Prioritize quality with test‑driven development, continuous integration, and rapid bug fixes.

• Extensive experience developing web applications, preferably in an agile SaaS environment.
• Proven experience across all levels of the development stack.
• Strong familiarity with Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL, AWS, and SOA.
• Proficiency with Agile software development processes:
  Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with Test‑Driven Development.
• Creativity and proactivity—able to solve complex problems without a roadmap.
• Passion for learning new technologies while effectively leveraging existing ones.
• Commitment to long‑term maintainability, code cleanliness, and refactoring.
• Ability to identify and resolve code‑smells through sensible refactoring.

• 5+ years of experience working in software engineering teams.
• Comfortable working with remote team members.
• Pragmatic thinking and balancing business outcomes with technical goals.
• Strong relationships across other platform development teams.

• Experience across all levels of the development stack.
• Hands‑on with Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL, AWS, and SOA.
• Agile experience:
  Scrum or Kanban.
• Test‑Driven Development expertise.
• Knowledge of TRACS, iMAX system, and HUD 202D Guidelines.

The base salary range is $138,400 – $173,000, adjusted for skill, experience, and education. Total rewards include bonuses, equity, health, retirement, and other benefits available to full‑time employees.
