This is a permanent PART-TIME role.

Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).

Being a Retail Scan Associate offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency. There will be continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

• Visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations.
• Scan barcodes on displays, aisle end caps, and other in-store locations using a mobile app.
• Ensure data collected is accurate and complete for analysis to improve sales performance.
• Complete weekly scanning across assigned stores for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
• Assist with data entry and provide quantity information for a subset of scanned products as required.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines and maintain dependability and quality-driven work.

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be deadline-driven and a self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

We are hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Our store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores. We work with major brand retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons, and other national chains, as well as small independent retailers.

Retail Scan Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store.

This position estimates anywhere from 1.5 hours per week, for all stores, depending on store size and project requirements.

While scanning bar codes each week, you will be asked to provide the quantity of about 45% of the products you scan.

What does a Retail Scan Associate's week look like?

You will report to your store within the described deadline and complete Display Scanning across the entire store, which occurs weekly and can take several hours.

Our Clients frequently request more specific details about products in main stocking locations. This additional work is referred to as Custom Projects, occurring almost every week and adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store for those weeks.
