Overview

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a Busser at the Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara, CA.

Position Summary: Sets and clears restaurant tables; stocks all service stations and assists servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction.

• Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare the table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all serviceware as prescribed.
• Assist in stocking server stations.
• Assist servers with food & beverage service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to the dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
• Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Fold napkins for all meal periods to maintain an adequate supply.
• Perform all assigned sidework including replenishing condiments and restocking side stands in assistance to the food servers.
• Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, answering telephones and taking room service orders, handling special guest requests, helping to maintain and organize buffets, greeting and seating guests and ensuring guest satisfaction according to Hilton guidelines.

• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to understand and communicate English to comprehend and respond to basic guest requests.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
• Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bussing experience preferred.
