301 E Haley St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. VCA Care Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital is a well-established 24-hour emergency & specialty practice in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. We are seeking a highly motivated, full-time, energetic Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency team.

Your mission as part of the VCA team is to win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience, so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Radiology
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Laboratory work
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

Ideal candidates are:

• Registered Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced emergency setting

Compensation ranges:
Registered Veterinary Technician: $27 - $35/hour;
