Department: People & Culture
Reports To: VP – People & Culture
Level: Property Leadership
The Director of People & Culture – HC serves as the senior People & Culture leader for the HC property, supporting all HR operations and strategy at all levels. This role ensures compliance, consistency, and a strong people experience while aligning property needs with Foley Hospitality Group’s enterprise People & Culture framework.
Core ResponsibilitiesPeople & Culture Leadership
- Serve as the primary People & Culture leader and advisor for the HC property.
- Support all HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, LOA, unemployment, performance management, and compliance.
- Partner with property leadership to support business objectives through people strategies.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Lead employee relations matters, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Partner with corporate People & Culture on complex or escalated matters.
Recruiting & Workforce Support
- Oversee recruiting and onboarding processes for the property.
- Ensure staffing plans align with operational needs and brand standards.
- Support leadership with workforce planning and retention strategies.
Leadership & Culture
- Champion FHG culture and values at the property level.
- Partner with Learning & Culture on training, orientation, and development initiatives.
- Support engagement and recognition efforts at the property.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Coordinator of People & Culture – HC role.
- Ensure effective delegation, training, and accountability within the People & Culture function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit operations.
- Strong employee relations, compliance, and leadership skills
