Overview
Health Information Coordinator (Medical Records) at Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. is a role in behavioral health focused on accurate health records, staff support, and HIM department oversight. The position reports to the Administrator or designee and collaborates with the Director of Nursing, Program/Clinical Director, and other department heads. Training and mentorship in technical record matters are provided by the corporate Health Information Department as required by program-specific regulations.
Responsibilities- Provide support to staff and oversee the Health Information Management (HIM) Department by monitoring and maintaining complete Health Records for all persons served.
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of records, recognizing that this may impact facility liability.
- Maintain professional contact with all staff levels, stakeholders, persons served, and families.
- Coordinate with the Administrator or designee and work with other department heads; receive consultation and training on technical record matters as required.
- Full-Time: AM
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a health-related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer and typing/data entry skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in clerical procedures and computers; willingness to learn.
- Ability to work systematically, take initiative without continuous supervision, and function effectively within a team.

Pay Range$22 - $22 USD
