Electronics Engineer

We have an opportunity for an Electronics/PCB Test Engineer on a temporary basis based in Santa Barbara.

Job Title: Electronics/PCB Test Engineer - Senior Level

Location: 100% Onsite - Santa Barbara, CA

Duration: 6-12 months

Position Overview: This position requires strong verification skills and extensive hands‑on PCB troubleshooting experience.

Lead verification and validation (V&V) tests on electronic and embedded systems.

• Lead the design, development, and manufacturing of test fixtures, gaging products, and tools.
• Lead R&D testing activities, including exploratory and formal tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug circuits and systems; interpret engineering drawings and PCB schematics.
• Operate/maintain test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters.
• Configure and maintain test setups for video interfaces (SDI, HDMI, Display Port), power supplies, USB interfaces, and embedded systems (microcontrollers, FPGA).
• Document test results, create reports, and maintain accurate records in compliance with company standards.
• Evaluate engineering, production, and field failures to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Share knowledge of electronic systems manufacturing and test processes to improve team efficiency.
• Previous experience with PCB troubleshooting is required.

• Ability to read schematics, interpret Gerber files, and work with Solid Works drawings.
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI testing and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with test fixture design and maintenance.
