Overview
The Operations Coordinator manages the electronic records processing software for Undergraduate Admissions, overseeing receipt of electronic application and test score data, updates to electronic files, admission notification, appeals, and finalization of student records. This position is part of the Student Services and Advising Professionals (SSAP) bargaining unit and will be governed by Personnel Policies for Staff Members until a Collective Bargaining Agreement is ratified.
Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Applications Services workforce, ensuring cross‑training and workflow management.
- Plan, develop, and implement the admission application processing software and related data coordination technologies.
- Serve as the Office of Admissions adviser to high school and college counselors, students, parents, staff, and faculty regarding admissions policy and academic records.
- Act as the representative from Admissions with electronic transcript vendors and the document imaging solution for Enrollment Services and future multi‑office technology projects.
- Maintain accuracy of data received, ensuring confidentiality and security of student and enrollment data.
- High School Diploma.
- Skill in supervising the work of others and the ability to organize and set priorities that accurately reflect team responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Significant experience in a production or service‑oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/training.
- Knowledge of common university‑specific computer programs and familiarity with university and departmental principles and procedures.
- Limited vacations allowed during peak processing times:
January‑April and the month of July. - May require occasional weekend work or overnight travel.
- Satisfactory criminal history background check.
