Job Summary
The Operations Coordinator in the Office of Admissions will design, develop, and implement the electronic records processing system for undergraduate admissions. Responsibilities include managing day‑to‑day staff operations, ensuring accurate electronic data capture, providing strategic direction, and serving as the point of contact for vendors and campus partners.
Responsibilities- Management (40%) – Lead student staff, manage call/email workflow, coordinate with department managers to meet deadlines, and serve as the front‑line representative for the Associate Director during absences.
- Data Coordination & Technology Implementation (40%) – Train staff on application software, maintain data accuracy and confidentiality, enforce FERPA compliance, and represent Admissions on technology committees.
- Professional Development Coordinator (10%) – Plan and monitor staff development opportunities, collaborating with training staff.
- Human Resources Responsibilities (5%) – Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate new student staff.
- Other (5%) – Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.
- High School Diploma.
- Experience supervising staff and setting priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Significant experience in a production or service‑oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/training.
- Knowledge of university‑specific computer programs and departmental policies.
- Limited vacations during peak processing:
January‑April and July. - May require occasional weekend work or overnight travel.
- Requires satisfactory background check.
