Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a dedicated Tax Preparer to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support in tax preparation and advisory services for a variety of clients, including individuals, businesses, and trusts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your expertise in tax compliance and strategic planning within a collaborative and meticulous environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.

- Review financial documents provided by clients to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Conduct tax research and assist in developing tailored strategies to optimize tax outcomes.

- Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary information and address tax-related questions.

- Manage client engagements by maintaining timely workflows and meeting deadlines.

- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.

- Assist with special projects, such as estate planning, audits, and tax planning for high-net-worth clients.

- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service and uphold firm standards.

- Utilize advanced tax software to streamline preparation and compliance tasks. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

- At least one year of experience or internship in tax preparation or accounting.

- Solid understanding of tax procedures, compliance, and accounting principles.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

- Familiarity with tax software such as CCH Pro System fx or similar tools.

- Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to new challenges proactively.
