The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and production equipment. This position is responsible for:
Responsibilities- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Identifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and facilities, using diagnostic tools and techniques. - Preventive Maintenance:
Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and to minimize downtime. - Repairs and Modifications:
Conducting repairs on machinery and equipment, as well as making modifications or upgrades to enhance performance and safety. - Compliance and Safety:
Adhering to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, including GMPs and SOPs, to ensure a safe working environment. - Documentation:
Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to track equipment performance and compliance. - Collaboration:
Working closely with production teams and other maintenance staff to address equipment issues promptly and support production goals. - Training and Development:
Continuously updating skills and knowledge related to new technologies, equipment, and maintenance practices.

- Pay range $35.05 per hour.

- Education: High school diploma, vocational training, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in facility and production maintenance environment. Experience with boilers, chillers, & refrigeration systems is desired but not required.
- Technical Skills: Experience with conveyor systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of case erecting and folding systems, including operation and repair.
- Safety Knowledge: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards. (LOTO) Lock Out Tag Out Arc Flash Desired.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues related to electro/mechanical systems and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Tools and Equipment: Own basic hand tools and be proficient with power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to navigate computers and MS Office. Familiarity with CMMS; MVP is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in completing tasks and documenting maintenance. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to assist and train others as needed.
