Maintenance Tech

Position Summary

Mechanics work under minimal supervision to perform turret/spindle alignments, preventive maintenance tasks such as trouble‑shooting the lubrication system, hydraulics, bar feeders, control systems, etc. They are able to diagnose and repair most NC mechanical issues, pull and replace ball screws, and address hydraulic and pneumatic problems. The technician completes any task related to facility maintenance, demonstrating expertise in plumbing, general carpentry, and other facility‑related duties.

The role requires the ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, serving as either a mechanical or technical SME.

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Adhere to quality processes including in‑process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Correctly interpret work orders.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Work in a team environment, follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Assist in maintaining inventories of critical parts, supplies, etc.
• Perform all levels of facility maintenance tasks.
• Perform all NC maintenance.
• Perform intermediate NC repairs (replace ball screws, etc.).
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

• The ability to read and write English.
• The ability to use hand tools (wrenches, etc.).
• The ability to use power tools.
• The ability to use diagnostic tools (amp probes, voltage meters).
• The ability to use basic inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills.
• The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.
• Familiarity with NC equipment.

• Typically 6–10 years of related experience.
• GED or high school diploma preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only, the pay range for this role is $25.00 to $40.00 USD hourly, based on a variety of factors. This role is also eligible to participate in the company’s quarterly cash bonus plan, with 80 hours paid time off per year, 10 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
