The intern will work in a program designed to help college students gain experience and develop the technology, professional and interpersonal skills to use throughout their career. First American Interns work in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industry—balanced with intern‑specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunities—while under the close supervision and guidance of a manager and/or mentor. Undergraduate students are assigned significant work assignments to support a specific business function within Marketing, Human Resources, IT, Accounting and Finance.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities across various applications and systems, working closely with both teams.
- Participate in the development and implementation of security best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Support the teams in conducting asset and application security assessments to ensure that our enterprise is secure from threats.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing regarding security initiatives and findings.
- Help maintain documentation related to vulnerabilities and security assessments, ensuring transparency and traceability.
- Engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning discussions to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives.
- Gain exposure to security tools and technologies used in vulnerability management and application security.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and application security concepts.
- 2+ year's experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) is a plus.
- 2+ year’s experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g.,
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Real‑world, hands‑on experience in vulnerability management and application security.
- Insight into cross‑team collaboration and the importance of security in software development.
Pay Range: $20‑$24 Hourly. This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
