A team of consultants who understand what it means to meet our guests where they are and deliver for them through strong operations, guest experience and visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket.

A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, bringing the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room. Ensuring the floor is set full with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the salesfloor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

Role skills and experiences include:

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to what is most important to the guest

As a Style Consultant, no two days are the same. A typical day will include the following responsibilities:

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests
• Utilize store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and to support guest needs
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority and manual fills and merchandising to capacity
• Execute and maintain backroom organization to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience
• Support price change processes with signing and clearance merchandising practices
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service is returned to the salesfloor
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies, report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) while complying with applicable laws
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks
• Engage with guests to solve their needs when assistance is required
• Thank guests and acknowledge their decision to shop at Target
• All other duties based on business needs

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders safely
• Scan, move merchandise efficiently and safely; frequently lift or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties including Drive-Up and carryout
• Remain mobile for the duration of shift
