The Assistant Manager at Roger Dunn Golf Shops is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that aligns with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy, which centers on putting the customer first and delivering a memorable and positive customer experience.
Responsibilities- Maintain strong knowledge of all golf products and ensure employees can educate customers on offerings.
- Control shrink and expenses while ensuring the sales floor is stocked and merchandised to brand presentation.
- Execute visual merchandising programs, modules, and direction; manage floor moves and display maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures through meetings, store walk-throughs, and audits.
- Monitor company communications and adjust schedules to manage workload.
- Act as a Roger Dunn Golf Shops brand ambassador and build external relationships within the golf industry.
- Respond to negative customer experiences, de-escalate when needed, and use feedback to coach employees.
- Support employee growth in career and golf skill development.
- Identify and suggest process improvements.
- 2+ years of retail management experience or experience in the golf industry is required.
- A strong golf background is preferred, but not required if the candidate has extensive retail management experience.
- Working knowledge of POS systems and basic office software, inventory, internet, and order processing.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
- Physical ability to access all store areas and lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Pay information: The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, including quarterly bonuses based on store sales. Individual starting pay within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
