• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases, fill and rotate self‑serve displays.
• Help the baker determine which items may need to be baked or decorated.
• Assist customers with special orders.
• Work with the Baker to determine items that require baking or decoration.
• Perform department cleaning including hosing down floors with soap and water.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (optional).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra awesome).
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification required.
