*** Scope:
*** The Expeditor monitors and expedites the flow of job orders within or between departments to ensure prompt progress of goods to conform with production schedules and on time delivery to customers.
**
* Duties and Responsibilities:

**** Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates.
* Serve as a link between quality, engineering, customer service, production control and manufacturing to provide feedback on potential bottleneck areas.
* Prepare daily documentation and reports on progress of work and production issues.
* Participate in production meetings.
* Awareness of factory problems, situations, and current production schedule

Skills:

* Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP)
* Able to handle situations involving sensitive issues with professionalism and tact.
* Capable of quickly accessing a situation and making appropriate decisions
* Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
* Able to compute rates and percentages
* Skilled in the use of software programs such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook
* Oversee and monitor the production floor to ensure departments are following dispatches accordingly to meet customer satisfaction goals.
* Assist in staging and transfer of product and will support standard good handling practices.
