We are currently seeking a talented and experienced individual for the role of a Permanent Lathe Set-Up in our Engineering department. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and innovation-driven team, where you will play a critical role in setting up and operating CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts. Our ideal candidate is someone who is not only technically skilled but also has a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of CNC lathe machines to perform a wide range of turning operations.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering plans, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to plan machining activities.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces while adhering to international standards.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operating and setting up CNC lathes in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Solid understanding of machine setup including selection of tools, fixtures, and attachments.
• Demonstrated ability to inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and experience working with complex, tight tolerance parts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
