Manufacturing Engineer, Electronics Technician

WhatYou'll Do
- Review and analyze customer drawings, SOPs, work instructions, and traveler requirements to ensure compliance with specifications; perform visual inspections of PCBs and cable assemblies under IPC J standards and/or customer specifications using magnification equipment; complete an inspection checklist; scan job into PROCIM
- Verify calibration dates for all measurement devices used for inspection
- Verify assembly traveler quantity and notify the team lead of any issues
- Perform a first article inspection (FAI) on all first-time-build assemblies to verify compliance with IPC/Military and customer specifications; generate AS9102 reports
- Identify and document product defects; generate NCR forms and notify the team lead
- Generate and complete a Certificate of Compliance (CoC)
- Perform other related duties as needed
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- Ability to interpret customer drawings, requirements, SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing travelers
- Knowledge of Military, IPC J standards
- Knowledge of first article documentation and shipping standards
- Proficiency with standard assembly equipment
- 20/20 corrected vision in one eye
- High attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of assembly inspection experience in PCB or electronics manufacturing and assembly industry (required)
- Certified or previously certified J-STD, NASA-STD, and/or IPC-610 (required)
- Monday through Friday
- 1st shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm
- 2nd shift: 4:00pm to 12:30am
- Overtime and Saturdays as required
- Full Time / Permanent
- On Site
California Pay Range: $18 USD - $22 USD. The actual compensation offered is based on factors such as skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant considerations.
