Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift. The expected annual salary range for this role is $96,000 - $140,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do- Drive a Zero Incident Safety Culture; align department requirements with Eaton’s Quality Management System; manage operations and prioritize production requirements to meet on-time delivery.
- Execute Eaton’s Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF): ensure standardized processes are followed; empower employees to improve standard work and implement countermeasures when needed.
- Support meeting all High Five goals and cost‑out goals.
- Promote a team environment and develop direct reports through problem‑solving skill sets and cross‑training opportunities; facilitate cooperation across shifts and among other department supervisors.
- Assist Management Team in determining personnel requirements, provide training resources for new employees, and facilitate the job‑bidding process.
- Monitor and provide employee coaching regarding safety, quality and productivity performance (attendance, training, coaching, overtime, vacation requests, etc.).
- Assign daily work schedules and review in‑process inventory reports to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Lead daily accountability meetings with a cross‑functional team focused on departmental performance and issue resolution (Tier, GEMBA); lead weekly department meetings to communicate safety topics, department or plant‑wide activities, business updates and policy/procedural changes as needed.
- Maintain daily statistics on customer demand, production, and overdue orders; communicate production metrics to management and other functional supervisors; maintain active communications between all levels of plant personnel.
- Serve as a central point of contact for management regarding production issues in your functional area.
- Initiate and coordinate assistance from other support functions (Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.).
- Assign overtime as required to meet production schedules.
- Evaluate qualifications and performance of team members based on Division and Plant policies.
- Ensure department work areas are kept clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
- Associates Degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year experience with MRP/ERP systems (Made2
Manage/SAP). - Must be able to work 2nd shift hours from 1:45 PM – 10:15 PM.
- No relocation is available for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Santa Ana, CA facility will be considered.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (White Belt or higher), and Continuous Improvement tools.
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience with direct reports in a manufacturing environment.
- Warehouse and production experience.
