- Interpret aerospace drawings, GD&T, customer specifications, and model-based definitions.
- Develop and document work holding and fixturing solutions.
- Maintain accurate program revision control in alignment with AS9100D standards.
- Perform complete set‑ups on CNC mills and lathes, including tooling selection, fixture installation, and offset setting.
- Verify programs through first‑article inspections and in‑process checks.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program issues and implement corrective actions.
- Reduce set‑up time and improve machine utilization across shifts.
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor, Quality Manager, and machine operators to ensure smooth job execution.
- Train operators on machine operation, tooling handling, and machining best practices.
- Support throughput improvement on key customer programs such as Meggitt, Disney/Miller Castings, and Turbojet.
- Participate in AS9100 corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a clean, organized, and safety‑driven machining environment.
- Minimum 3 years of CNC programming and set‑up experience in aerospace or precision machining.
- Proficiency in Mastercam and AutoCAD is required.
- Strong competency in both mill and lathe set‑ups; experience with 4‑axis and 5‑axis preferred.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and complex aerospace blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues quickly and accurately.
- Experience with first‑article inspections; familiarity with AS9102 is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑mix production environment.
- Clean, accurate CNC programs that run with minimal adjustments.
- Reliable machining processes with low scrap rates and high uptime.
- Improved production flow, reduced set‑up times, and increased machine efficiency.
- Strong alignment with AS9100D documentation and process standards.
- Noticeable impact on throughput, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
