Nikkiso ACD is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as – 420 °F, the boiling point of liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. It offers a diversified product line covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.

Within the ACD Project Management department, reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Project Management will provide vision, guidance and support for the team’s projects and hold final budgetary responsibilities for all projects. The Director facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables, and oversees a number of positions in the Project Management department. This position is based in Santa Ana, CA.

• Lead the planning and implementation of all projects
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Assemble and coordinate project staff, and develop full-scale project plans
• Manage project resource allocation
• Plan and schedule project timelines
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
• Provide direction and support to the project management team
• Monitor and report on progress of all projects to stakeholders continuously
• Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
• Conduct project evaluations and assess results

• Experience with both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools based on PMI PMBOK
• Direct industry experience in a project management capacity
• Proven people‑management experience
• Proven strategic planning and risk‑management experience
• Proficiency in project‑management software
• Exceptional planning, organizing, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to adapt and succeed in a variety of high‑stress situations

• New employee safety training required for all newly hired employees, including safety awareness
• All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Manager
• Job‑specific training modules deemed necessary by manager or director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis

Employees are required to wear company‑provided PPE as/when needed (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut‑resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, dust masks and face masks). Failure to comply with safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.
