Job DescriptionThe Scrum Master role ensures that Scrum principles, practices, and values are understood and enacted across the team and organization. The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, and stakeholders to foster collaboration, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will need to effectively coach the Scrum team to deliver value with purpose and transparency.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and enforce Scrum ceremonies and cadence:
Daily Stand‑Up’s, Sprint Planning, Backlog refinement, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives. - Coach and Mentor:
Well versed in multiple Agile frameworks to guide teams on Agile principles, self‑organization, and cross‑functionality. Act as an Agile coach to promote transparency, inspection, and adaptation. (SCRUM, SCRUMBAN, KANBAN, Hybrid, SAFe, etc.) - Remove Impediments:
Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder team progress. - Promote Continuous Improvement:
Encourage retrospectives and implement actionable improvements for productivity and quality. - Ensure Alignment:
Enforce team working agreements and maintain consistency with organizational Scrum standards and the Scrum workbook. - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Foster strong relationships between Scrum Teams, Product Owners, and external stakeholders. - Metrics and Reporting:
Help teams understand and leverage metrics for team performance, delivery and predictability which will feed into enterprise reporting. - Full understanding of ADO, building dashboards and managing all work in ADO (Epic, Features, user stories, tasks).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and principles (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Azure Dev Ops, Jira).
- Ability to coach teams and influence organizational change.
- Background in project management, PMP.
- CSM, CSPO or similar required.
- Deep expertise with hands‑on enterprise organizational change, Agile practices, transformation and utilizing different frameworks.
