As a Tax Investigation Specialist
, you’ll be on the front lines of helping clients resolve their tax issues. You’ll communicate directly with the IRS and state agencies
, manage client files, and ensure each case progresses efficiently. This role requires strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
- Submit Power of Attorney (POA) forms and handle tax documentation.
- Communicate with IRS and state agencies to assist in resolving client cases.
- Pull and upload IRS transcripts
, ensuring all case files remain accurate and updated. - Record case updates and detailed notes in our CRM.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth client experience.
- Take on additional tasks to support case progress and team success.
- Active CTEC Certification.
- Active PTIN and CAF Number.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with CRM or tax software.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization, accuracy, and multitasking ability.
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in accounting or business preferred).
