Our Publicly-Traded Medical Device client is looking to bring on a Accounting Consultant to support various work streams including month-end close, reconcilai tions, and intercompany accounting. This position requires strong accounting skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. This role would be on an interim basis ranging from 3-4-months, with the possibility to extend longer. Their ideal candidate must have experience in a Public Company and/or a Public Accounting upbringing.

This role would be paid hourly on a W2 basis

• Proactively manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities, including ensuring all transactions incurred are recorded in compliance with US GAAP.
• Lead the execution of the recurring financial month-end close process including approving month-end journal entries, consolidations, reconciliations, and ensuring completion in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance efforts related to technical accounting policies and financial reporting.
• Prepare, analyze, interpret, and report on income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and other financial data.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to drive operational efficiencies.
• Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
• Generate and analyze quarterly reporting package.
• Be proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements across the organization to increase efficiency within financial reporting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze forecast versus actual and consult with management to drive course correction.
• Seek opportunities for process improvements and implement operational accounting efficiencies through improved policies and control enhancements.
• Oversee internal/external audits and file a variety of reports with regulatory agencies.
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.

• Bachelor e2 8009s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Public Company and/or Public Accounting experience is required.
• CPA preferred.
• ERP Experience such as Net Suite, Quick Books, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct all deemed good.
• Eye for details – attention to quality and accuracy is of paramount importance in this role.
