Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Ana, California. This role requires expertise in managing financial operations, including payroll processing, reconciliations, and invoicing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Process semi-monthly and special payroll, collaborating with external payroll vendors and addressing employee inquiries regarding time recording and payroll matters.

- Reconcile corporate credit card expenses with monthly statements, ensure proper coding, and post entries into the accounting system.

- Manage vendor invoices by obtaining approvals, coding, tracking due dates, and processing weekly check runs.

- Perform daily cash reporting, prepare and post cash entries, and assist with the weekly 13-week cash forecast.

- Generate customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

- Handle purchase orders for outside contractor services and fixed asset acquisitions.

- Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and oversee cash management responsibilities.

- Administer accounts payable functions, ensuring proper documentation and timely processing.

- Review and record corporate card expenses, collecting supporting documents and ensuring compliance.

- Support various accounting tasks as needed to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting systems.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Exceptional attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Experience with payroll processing and reconciliation.

- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
