A long-standing and reputable real estate developer and property management firm is seeking a detail-oriented onsite Staff Accountant to join its wonderful accounting team. About the Role:

The Staff Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and monthly close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare financial statements and internal reports
• Help manage accounts payable and receivable functions
• Maintain accurate records and support audit and tax preparation efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Contribute to process improvements and internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience; industry experience in real estate or property management is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software systems is preferred
• Experience with Yardi or MRI beneficial
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
