General Description of Work
The Lee County Athletic Park Weekend Attendant is responsible for on-site supervision of Lee County Athletic Park during weekend park hours. This position serves as the primary point of contact for park patrons, rental groups, and recreation program participants during weekend park hours. This position is also responsible for opening and closing the park on Saturdays and Sundays. Applicants must be dependable and prompt, and able to work weekends from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and occasional weekday evenings as needed.
This individual must have excellent customer service and public relations skills. The Weekend Park Attendant will report directly to the LCAP Parks Operation Supervisor.
Individuals in this role will serve as on-site staff during weekday evening rentals, programs, and events. Responsibilities include monitoring and enforcing park rules, policies, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Staff will regularly walk through the park to observe activities, provide assistance as needed, and perform light maintenance tasks such as trash pickup and trash bag replacement.
They will also assist patrons with questions and report any issues or incidents to the supervisor. Additionally, candidates will be responsible for closing and securing the park at the end of each shift and providing weekday support as needed.
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
NC Criminal Background Check Required.
Must have or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within 6 months of hire.

Pre-employment drug screening and NC SBI Electronic Fingerprinting and Criminal History Record Check are required prior to employment.
