About UsUnited Trades of America is a leading labor contractor focused on providing skilled trades within the construction and manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking experienced Millwrights for a critical 7-day shutdown project in Sanford, North Carolina, during the Labor Day period.
Working 7 days, 12 hours per day.
As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment during a planned shutdown. Your expertise will ensure that all work is completed efficiently and safely within the specified timeframe.
Responsibilities- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble machinery and equipment.
- Align and calibrate machinery components.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment.
- Use precision tools to measure and align machinery.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work efficiently to complete tasks within the shutdown period.
- Proven experience as a millwright in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.
- Ability to work long hours and over the Labor Day period.
- MUST be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field.
- Experience with shutdown projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
