About Us

United Trades of America is a leading labor contractor focused on providing skilled trades within the construction and manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking experienced Welders for a critical 7-day shutdown project in Sanford, North Carolina, during the Labor Day period.
Working 7 days, 12 hours per day.

Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding tasks to install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and structures during a planned shutdown. Your skills will ensure that all welding work is completed efficiently and to high-quality standards within the specified timeframe.

Responsibilities
  • Perform welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
  • Work efficiently to complete tasks within the shutdown period.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a welder in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.
  • Ability to work long hours and over the Labor Day period.
  • Valid welding certifications are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certification or associate degree in welding or a related field.
  • Experience with shutdown projects.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
