Equipment Repair Technician, Installer & Demonstration Expert
Clean Direct Inc | Sanford, NC
We fix things that blow, suck, and spray—professionally, of course.
Who We Are
At
Clean Direct Inc
, we’re the powerhouse behind North America’s most trusted specialty cleaning equipment brands—including the legendary
Sky Vac️,
Ionic Systems
, and
Mosmatic Professional
. We help the pros clean everything from
gutters to gum
and make it look easy (spoiler alert: it’s not).
Our mission? Empower cleaners across the continent with tools that make their work safer, faster, and frankly more fun to use. Now, we’re looking for someone who’s handy with a wrench, patient with a pressure washer, and maybe just a little too enthusiastic about hose fittings.
Your Role:
Repair Technician & Installer
As our new
Equipment Repair Technician and Installer
, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps the machines running and the customers smiling. You’ll repair, install, and occasionally stare down machines thatshouldbe working but insist on doing otherwise. Whether it’s troubleshooting a high-powered vacuum or rigging up a van-mounted window cleaning rig, you’ll be in your element.
You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
- Diagnosing and repairing vacuums, soft wash pumps, pressure washers, and other specialty gear (bonus points if you can do it without Googling).
- Installing truck and van-mounted systems like a boss.
- Working closely with the sales team to provide product feedback—because they secretly think you’re a wizard.
- Using our internal systems for service notes and ticket tracking (don’t worry, we won’t throw you into Excel without a life vest).
- Keeping your repair bay clean-ish and organized… at least on Mondays.
Sanford, NC facility
, where you’ll have your own workbench, tools, and no shortage of power cords. Occasional travel for in-factory training is on the table—yes, we’ll actually pay you to learn cool things.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 2+ years
of hands-on experience in equipment repair, small engines, auto repair, or anything else that makes you say “hand me that 10mm.” - A friendly, reliable, can-do attitude—and a slight obsession with fixing things.
- Bonus if you’ve worked in
Jan/San, Industrial, or Commercial Cleaning industries
, but not required. - Comfortable using a computer for service tickets (you won’t need to code, just click).
- Willingness to say “yes” to the occasional random project—we try not to throw too many curveballs.
- Contract-to-hire
with the potential to become a full-time employee after a ramp-up period. - Part-time options available
—because flexibility is kind of our thing. - Competitive hourly pay:$18 – $35
, based on how many tools you know how to use properly. - Supportive front office team handles all customer scheduling and communication—so you can focus on fixing, not fielding phone calls.
- Monthly paid training (and the occasional field trip to our manufacturer partners).
We believe great techs come from all walks of life. Whether you’re
military experienced
, returning to the workforce, or someone who thinks fixing things should be a superhero skill—
you’re welcome here
. Clean Direct is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
