Drill Operator 2nd Shift – Martin Marietta

5PM - 4AM

What to Expect

• Safely and efficiently operate a track‑mounted Kelly Bar rotary drill using water medium for flushing and prepare areas for shots.
• Perform maintenance on all relevant equipment, including the drill and pumps.
• Maintain a safe working area and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Assist in loading and stemming of blast patterns.
• Participate in safety inspections and adhere to company and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Operate other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks as needed.
• Aid in training co‑workers and perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in hydraulic and electrical systems (preferred).
• Experience with Kelly Bar driven drills (preferred).
• Experience with electric‑powered drill (preferred).
• ATF Clearance is a plus.
