The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community.

** Description of Work
** Salary Range: $48,222 - $84,388 Reporting to the Warden III, this position will provide supervision of subordinate staff. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Managing the Custody section including the Food Service operation and providing for the safety and security of the facility.
- Reviewing all incident reports, assigning and reviewing internal investigations, conducting critical internal investigations, reviewing offender requests and responding appropriately, and ensuring that the personnel resources are allocated for the maximum benefit of the facility.
- Handling special assignments from the Warden and completing all actions necessary as the Facility Safety Manager.
