As the Director of Women’s Services, you will play a vital leadership role dedicated to making communities healthier®.
How You’ll Contribute- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the organization.
- Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technology, service level determination, and complaint management to achieve performance and quality objectives.
- Plan, monitor, and manage staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ongoing staff development.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets to ensure operations remain within allocated funding; coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Integrate evidence‑based practices into departmental operations and clinical protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including HIPAA and other healthcare standards.
- Oversee sensitive and confidential information in alignment with organizational policies and business office standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; applicable experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Current North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
- Certifications:
BLS, PALS, NRP required.
- A minimum of 2‑3 years of management experience is required.
- 3+ years of recent experience in Women’s Services, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and NICU required.
- Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage complex departmental operations, lead teams, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Business mathematical skills with ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Moderate computer proficiency, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to address complex issues, resolve sensitive situations, and motivate teams.
- Ability to manage varied and complex problems using established practices and sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs as required.
- Repetitive motion required for computer use; must possess required vision abilities.
- Works in a typical hospital and office environment with potential exposure to healthcare‑related hazards.
- Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%).
