Biddeford Location - Full Time (Monday‑Friday; 35 hours/40 weeks‑school year and 30 hours/9 weeks‑summer)
Sanford Location - Full Time (Monday‑Friday; 32 hours/49 weeks)

We are now hiring a Cook to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.

Your role :
  • The cook is responsible for proper food preparation, temperature control, sanitation, portion sizes and safe food storage, also guaranteeing children are served nutritious, tasteful, appealing meals and snacks according to approved menus that follow the CACFP guidelines.
  • Ensure daily function of all food service activities meets established expectations, including food transport to other centers if necessary.
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or snack for enrolled children, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:
  • Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or HSE equivalent.
  • Must have Serv Safe certification or willing to complete Serv Safe certification asap after hire.
  • Experience in the area of nutrition, food preparation and sanitizing is required.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, reach to an area of two feet and bend to ground level.
  • The Cook must be able to perform repetitive work such as chopping, slicing, peeling, etc. for a minimum of two hours per day.
  • Applicant must be willing to travel and have own vehicle. Must show proof of a valid license and insurance annually.
  • Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
  • Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
