Job SummaryThis role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions, and a friendly atmosphere.
Essential Responsibilities Compliance (50%)- Observe customers and check identification for age verification, identifying customers who should not be served additional alcohol and monitoring customers to assist in the prevention of open containers leaving the store.
- Deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
- Provide continuous attention to customers' needs.
- Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Offer product suggestions to customers when appropriate.
- Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control.
- Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost.
- Operate department equipment and tools; operate cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently recognizing all forms of tender and providing the correct change when appropriate.
- Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management.

Experience:
0-3 years minimum, no supervisory experience. - Must be at least 21 years of age.
- TIPS Training required prior to position start date.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and proficiently follow instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- High standard of integrity and reliability.
- Basic computer skills to participate in online training.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
Retail – General Heavy:
Physical demands include standing or walking on various types of flooring, manual dexterity, repeated movements, reaching at waist level or overhead, carrying loads up to indicated weights, occasionally sitting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing up to 30 ft. Working conditions may involve indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, and wet/humid environments. Safety risk factors include twisting back and/or neck, walking on slippery or cluttered floor surfaces, working with hazardous equipment, exposure to sharp objects, loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes and sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions, and other toxins.
Required equipment: cleaning supplies, general office equipment, register, pricing gun, scales, scanner, material handling equipment such as racks, carts, pallet jacks, shopping carts. Preferred equipment: baler/compactor, box cutter. Personal Protective Equipment: goggles, gloves, back brace. Pulling requirement: 250 lbs. Lifting requirement: 50 lbs.
