Maintenance Mechanic

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of facilities as well as installing, repairing and
monitoring industrial fabrication and production machinery. This is a skilled position with
exposure to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery.

• Troubleshoot and maintain facilities, production equipment, electrical systems, CNC
machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.

• Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing.

• Work with facility manager to continually update and maintain the maintenance
schedule.

• Cranes, power tools, lifts and hand tools are safely operated.

• Prepare monthly maintenance reports of equipment.

• Wear proper P.P.E. for varying maintenance tasks.

• Communicate to management, supervisors and employees the status of repairs and
maintenance tasks.

• Work with facility manager to source replacement parts for repairs.

• Work with contracted service personnel to safely complete repairs and services.

• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required.

• General understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics.

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment.

• Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools.

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be proactive and possess strong
communication skills both written and verbal.

• Data entry, math and basic computer skills.

• Must be able to work well in a team environment.

• Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.

• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills, time management and
organizational skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Continually required to stand, stoop, stretch, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, climb and walk.

• Continually required to utilize manual dexterity and strength.
