Microsoft System Administrator

Kforce has a client in Sanford, FL that is seeking a Microsoft System Administrator. We are seeking a Microsoft Systems Administrator to support and maintain core IT infrastructure in a cloud-forward, multi-tenant environment. This role is responsible for day-to-day system administration, virtualization support, and assisting with automation and licensing management while ensuring system stability, security, and scalability.

• Administer and support Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and access controls
• Manage and maintain virtualized environments (VMware), including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting virtual machines
• Support systems within a multi-tenant environment, ensuring proper isolation, performance, and security
• Assist with Microsoft cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365), including basic configuration and ongoing support
• Perform light scripting and automation using Power Shell and/or Power Automate to streamline routine tasks
• Support Enterprise Agreement renewals, including tracking licensing, usage, and coordination with vendors or internal stakeholders
• Monitor system performance, apply updates/patches, and assist with incident resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure improvements and cloud initiatives

• Baseline knowledge of Active Directory administration
• Hands-on experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms
• Exposure to Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure, Microsoft 365)
• Experience working in a multi-tenant or shared services environment
• Basic scripting or automation experience (Power Shell, Power Automate)
• Familiarity with Microsoft licensing and Enterprise Agreements

• Prior experience supporting hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
• Understanding of security best practices in Microsoft ecosystems
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
